    Hey Stephanie!

    Bonjour & good to see another Canuck on the boards.:) I recently moved to Halifax and have been eyeing up the dragon boaters team here. It's one of the very few support groups going in Halifax. It looked fun and a great chance for challenging exercise. I haven't gone beyond just flipping around the website. What was your experience like when joining? Are beginners cut some slack, seeing as its competitive? I'm a little afraid of dragging the whole boat down with my ineptitude and I easily get seasick easily LOL!

    I belong to a Dragon Boat team in Florida. We practice 3 times a week. We went to Italy in July for the IBCPC Dragon Boat Festival. It was amazing.

    Wow! Three times a week is amazing! We do twice weekly. Our team went to Italy as well (we are in Ontario), but I couldn’t make it.

    Today was our last race of the season - in Stratford - and was so much fun ;). I’m sad the season has ended, but we have a couple end of year gatherings. I also wrote a song for guitar for my team and we will likely record it!

    I highly recommend the sport; it’s wonderful
