I am 37yr old and have struggled with multiple fibroadenoma's. At 29yrs old I felt my first lump, went for mamo and ultrasound and had excision biopsy of 3, later confirmed benign fibroadenoma's. Over the last 7 years my body has produced 6 more fibroadenoma's s and a fat necrosis half of all which have been BIRAD 3 and core biopsied, clipped and confirmed as benign.

Recently had 3 'new' abnormalities. 2 visually measured and confirmed to be alike all the other fibroadenoma's my body produces. 1 mass, abnormal with irregular margins and classified as BIRAD 4. I went through the core biopsy Wednesday 5/2 and just received a call stating its 'probably' benign and need a 3mo follow up.

Does the Biopsy not provide definitive answer? I am a little nervous now.

SL, did you or can you get a copy of the pathology report? If I were in your shoes ‘probably’ wouldn’t sit well with me and I’d call my PCP or the place where the biopsy was done and ask to have the results reviewed with me. You probably are fine, don’t get me wrong, but asking for more definitive answers wouldn’t be out of line. At very least for your piece of mind. Keep us posted please
