Dealing with anxiety

I had an ONC appointment scheduled for this morning but they called and rescheduled it. For some reason this has made me anxious. I feel sick to my stomach and my hands are shaking. It's not a full-blown panic attack yet. I learned some breathing techniques from a therapist the first time I was diagnosed. I tried that and I'm a little bit better but I still feel like I'm going to throw up.

If this keeps up I'm going to have to call my doctor because it's brutal.

I feel like I won't be able to eat until I see her next monday. I just needed to vent, I guess. ;)

I do understand that. You can call the doc and ask them to prescribe somethign for anxiety, if you need it. Or try other things that help...journaling, breathing techniques, long walks, calling a friend with BC who "gets it", etc. And remember, it is always ok to bring someone with you to visits. Not just when you're first diagnosed. It can be a god distraction.
