anyone have breast cancer metastasized to uterus?

Options

I am worried. I had breast cancer, stage 1, grade 3 in 2013. Lumpectomy, chemo and rads. I have been taking tamoxifen since then. I have been having pap smears annually even though I am 65, an age when paps are generally considered no longer needed. But they are still recommended for me due to a combo of some abnormal cells resulting in a LEEP procedure in 2003 and knowing that tamoxifen can cause uterine cancer (though not often). Just learned there are abnormal cells in my recent Pap, no HPV, and no cancer cells, but my understanding is that doesn't mean there is no cancer and that cancer in the uterus can only be diagnosed by a biopsy of uterine cells.

So I am going in for a transvaginal ultrasound Tuesday, and a colcoscopy a couple weeks after that. Has anyone out there been thru something similar?

In my first cancer experience, I learned that for me, waiting for outcomes was worse than finding out what was going on, even if it wasn't good news. If it's bad news I make a plan and don't look back. But the waiting is hard.

Yes. I have. I had some abnormal cells. I tjink they called it lcis. Squamous cells. I had some sort of laser surgey to clear it. For some reason, I seem to have frequent issues. Glad we have the annual Pap.

    How are you doing?

    Hello, Bevin,

Thanks so much for writing. It was reassuring to hear your outcome.

I'm doing better. I will have the ultrasound tomorrow, and that will answer some questions.

I had stage 3 14 years ago and then last year cancer had Mets to bones uterus and ovaries.

I was treated with tamoxifen arimidex radiation and athrymaicin 14 years ago.

This time I had surgery June 2017 to remove the tumor on my ovaries it was supposed to be laparoscopy but the tumor was too involved and they had to open me up where they found cancer in the uterus as well. Full hysterectomy at 59.

By the way I had Pap smears regularly mammograms blood work etc and nothing revealed the cancer.

The cancer was found in my spine after a back injury. They did a biopsy while I had khyphoplasty.

    I hope everything goes well.

    Dear Tanya,

It was so kind of you to write. There is a great sisterhood among those of us who have had breast cancer. I'm awfully sorry yours came back. How are you doing now?

My test is first thing tomorrow so at least the first stage of waiting will be over. It is a rollercoaster, isn't it?

So I had my ultrasound today. Endometrial lining is 19.61 mm and in postmenopausal women they like it to be under 12, so I go back in next week for a colcospocy and biopsy. It's a concern because of me taking tamoxifen, but still not very likely. Fingers crossed. Anyone have experience with this?

Hoping it all comes back clear. Tamoxifen is notorius for thickening hte uterine lining.

    hi

Awaiting surgery to see if bc has spread to my ovaries or potentially a second cancer. Hopefully, no cancer at all!!

    Surgery is June 6.

I was on Tamoxifen 10 years.

My abnormal Pap smear, followed by ultrasound, biopsy and D and C all turned out well. No cancer, just a situation to monitor. I was diagnosed in 2013 and have been on Tamoxifen since then.

I so hope that like in my situation, they find no cancer at all. Waiting is so hard and cancer so scary. You are in my thoughts.
