27 years old

About a year and a half ago I had a day where I was wearing a new shirt and bra fresh from the store and was washing dishes and when my shirt Got hit with a fair amount of water I had A terrible stinging pain on both breasts to the point that I had to undress and ran into the shower. When I came out they were both very red and tender and stayed that way for over a week. My immediate assumption was it had something irritating my skin as something like that has happened to me many times in different areas Due to detergents or materials. About 6 months ago I finally got to ask my doctor about it as redness and stinging sensitivity still comes and goes on both but mostly on one and the blood vessels tend to show on one more often with that nipple also tingling more. Doc glances at it and says oh that's normal for big breasts and sends me for a breast exam where that doc glances goes that's normal and does a quick feel for lumps and sends me on my way. But at a year and a half later with this stinging and redness coming and going on a daily basis. (None when I wake up and it starts up once I walk around and eases off when resting against the breast ) I've noticed certain tight clothes and bras actually seem to alleviate it until o take them off. Am I right to be concerned about this? I know Ibc tends to present in a week but I'm concerned with pagets as the redness is near my nipple especially on the one that hurts more though it stays about the same pain wise never getting bad like the first day.. After my cousin recently being diagnosed with breast cancer this month it's all I can think about. Any input would be highly appreciated.

Hmmm...could you push your obgyn or GP for a referral to the breast center? Obviously, you know your body better than anyone else. You could at least get an ultrasound.

yeah I’ve made an appointment though it’ll be a few weeks away. I’m hoping they’ll take me more seriously this time.

Also I have noticed that outside factors tend to affect it on both. Caffeine stress or lots of movement tend (they hang and shirts that move a lot seem to worsen as well) to aggravate both of them though my left side is by far the worse (maybe because I’m a lefty?) and massage tends to alleviate atleast for a while. Does cancer work that’s way or is there no outside input that hurts or alleviate
