Hi All,

Just popping in again, as I seem to do once a year or so with questions. You can read my pasts posts about my history, I've had a very long history of questionable findings which have all turned out benign thankfully. I now have a question about what I am currently experiencing.

I been having off and on bleeding from my left nipple. My BS has been watching it. Some scaling and inversion started several years ago, and another BS at same office performed a punch biopsy about 3 years ago. It came back as a nipple adenoma. I just started the bleeding about 1 year ago and went a long time before having more. There is also a fissure developing slowly. Since December the bleeding started again with more frequency. Maybe a few times a month a spot here or there. I went to my BS who did a 3d USN and screening mammogram. Nothing was seen. He said it may be the result of the nipple adenoma but to mention it to my dermatologist who I happened to be seeing the following week. My dermatologist gave me some cream to try for excema. Followed the directions and returned to her in 2 weeks with no change. She did a shave biopsy which came back negative. She recommended I try another cream and said it may be a case of stubborn excema. There still is no change, and the biopsy site is still bleeding when being brushed against by clothes,, bra, or when Im applying the cream. Ok, so I have 2 questions that I cant seem to find answers for. 1) How long does a nipple shave biopsy take to heal? 2) Is a shave biopsy a reliable way to diagnose for Paget's. I seem to see a lot of talk about punch biopsies, and may consider asking for one unless I can find info on nipple shave biopsies being reliable diagnosing tool for Paget's. Thanks in advance.
