    I started chemo for clinical stage 3A IDC in February. They ran a PET scan and.CT scan before beginning treatment. My tailbone has been bothering me, so the nurse practitioner ordered a bone scan. The tech found something on my back rib and took extra pictures. I’ve never fractured a bone. What else could this be? I won’t hear back from my doctor until tomorrow

    Lots of things show up on bone scans, including arthritis which can sometimes look like mets. You'll probably need to wait for report from the doc. Keep us posted. Hoping it is all clear.

    Nurse called and said it is probably a strain causing ribuptake- it’s minimal. They will repeat scan in 2 months. Not having any symptoms, but happy to hear the news!
