New research on xeloda...is xeloda with doing?

Options

my onc is recommending six months of xeloda treatment after my radiation because my neo junctive chemo didn’t work as well as expected. did dose dense 4 mos of act. My tumor was still six cent when they removed it during surgery. Plus minutely in one lymph node. I haven't started radiation yet due to complications with my tissue expander. I am quickly coming up on one year of this thing and I am WAY over this shit.

Doc thinks I should do the xeloda thing for six months. Two weeks on pills and one week off. He is sending me for a 2nd opinion to northwestern hospital in Chicago. My appoint is mon April 23.

While it seems like xeloda helps there also seem to be some horribe side effects with the hands and feet. I already have terrible neurpoathy from the taxol. I can't take anything else to them

I have to work full time thru all of this and I just don't know that the benefits outweigh the quality of life.

Plus I need to find a job with some benefits and better pay. I can't keep forking out more than $10k every year on medical crap with a $35k salary. I am in so much debt already from a brain tumor I had 4.5 years ago and this has just added more debt.

Wondering who else has faced this situation as the research results were just announced last year. Did u do the xeloda? Why? How's it been? Did u not do the xeloda? Why?

Just looking for fellow sisters out there!!
