Hello Everyone!!! So I made it through the surgery!! It wasn’t as bad as I expected. I do have a lot of pain but I believe it’s because I am recovering without pain pills!! However; I have been feeling tingling in my fingertips! Is this normal?

I don't remember having that sensation...did you have neck or back problems before the mx? Someone else may come along who felt this though - so glad you are feeling well!!

No I don’t have neck or back problems!! Thank you for your reply!!! Can I ask how long did the pain last for you!!? It’s only been 4 days and I hurt a lot but off and on. Some days are worse than others

I had that for awhile. Try keeping your arms elevated a little, and slowly open and close your hands and flex your fingers.

Hi there - I just answered your other thread...I needed the pain pills around the clock for a good solid three days post surgery. Then I switched to my muscle relaxers...

No tingling here, but no pain pills?! I'm a week out and still taking a muscle relaxer and Norco during the day and Percocet at night for sleeping. Even with that stuff, I have pain. I thought I had a rather good pain threshold. Wow. I'm impressed!

it’s likely a positional thing. Prop 1 or 2 pillows under your arms when sitting, sleep in a semi-recliner positioned with pillows under each arm as well. Good luck!

I had that and shoulder soreness for a few days due to how my arms were positioned for the majority of the surgery.

It also helped, as others have mentioned to keep your arms resting on a pillow and slightly elevated.
