AGE as a biomarker

I requested this several years ago but perhaps not in the pertinent section

I just want to mention that I have been posting on here for several years now, and it has truly been a remarkable resource. At every stage of my treatment. Diagnosis, chemo, hair loss, reconstruction etc.

One thing I do not understand is that we ask each poster to outline those intimate details of their breast cancer diagnosis, surgeries and ongoing treatment, but omit one of the more important aspects of their situation, which is their age at diagnosis.

An important marker in terms of how aggressively, or otherwise, a patients breast cancer is treated. Also, how pertinent it might be to another poster on the forum.

I can easily compare another posters diagnosis and treatment with my own, but it is oftendifficult to know if that person is in their 30s, 40s, 50s or 60s. What someone posts might be completely relevant to my own situation, and their age at diagnosis is simply another way of determining if that is the case.

So this is a request to simply ask a persons age at DX in order to make this forum a better resource for everyone
