Concerns with my diagnosis

I got my pathology results from my excision biopsy this past Thursday. Both ductal hyperplasia (without atypia) and radial scar were found. My surgeon did my post op and he was very dismissive of my results. He said what all of those words boiled down to was that my results were benign and that I should just continue with my yearly mammograms. But now that I'm reading up, both of those things double my breast cancer risk in the future.

I'm with Kaiser Permanente in GA and I'm disappointed that this doctor was so flippant about these results. I'm not sure if I'm overreacting or if I should get a second opinion about future steps. I'm wondering if anyone here has had a similar diagnosis but is doing more than just yearly mammograms as part of preventative measures.

I've also had so many mammograms on my right side since that's where the lesion was. I'm concerned about more radiation to that area.
