Waiting to have my biopsy

Hi, I'm 66 years old & had abnormality on annual mammogram. Was called back for diagnostic mammogram & ultrasound . Report says hypoechoic nodule, 8mm by 5mm high with somewhat irregular margins, some low level internal echoes, no internal vascularity or shadowing. Suspicious Bi-Rads Category 4.

Awaiting biopsy next week. Radiologist didn't speak to me however my regular doctor told me this had an 80% chance of being benign. I've read that past menopause, w/o hrt, chances are MUCH lower to be benign. He disagrees - hope he's right! Anyone know if this is true? I still develop simple cysts & have somewhat dense breasts.

Worried - thoughts would be appreciated. Ty.

Also just remembered my underarm on that side has itched severely on & off for over a year. Even went into Breast doctor about a year ago & told him. He examined under my arm & told me he could find nothing but to change deorderents, (didn’t ultrasound it though), know I’m starting to worry that it spread to lymph nodes

Your doctor is correct. If it definitely looked like cancer it would have been given a Birads 5, and yes, Birads 4 in general is about 80% benign
