Weird question: fake boob shape after weight gain

I had chemo before reconstruction and lost about 30 pounds - was sick constantly. After that, I had a BMX, followed with silicone implants, size C-ish, and I have a medium build. It's been about four years and I've since gained back about 20 pounds. The problem: I gained weight in whatever is covering my implants, but the scar didn't stretch, so now it looks like I have this indentation across the middle of my boobs! On top of that, my skin feels stretched out and I'm so AWARE of my boobs, as if they grew too much and are unnaturally stretching my chest.

Anyone else have this happen? I feel like my options are 1) lose weight again (ugh) or 2) get smaller implants.

    Hi Katie,

I wish someone with experience would answer because I'm curious to hear what she'll say!

I'd have a consult with your PS or another one who specializes in breast reconstruction to see what he/she says. My PS is always saying how changes in weight basically mess up his work, but I'm up in weight now and will need to lose it when I can, even though I'm due for my Exchange surgery in only 8 days. Apparently weight loss also causes cosmetic problems!

    Hugs
