Remove ovaries or keep them

How many of your oncologist’s recommended having your ovaries removed and why? From my understanding Tamoxifen makes us at a higher risk of uterine and ovarian cancer. If this is correct why would they want us to not have them removed.

    My Onc eventually wants to take mine out. He is going to do a chemical shut down first which I haven't started yet. I am also on Tamoxifen. I want to ask him about the Zolodex a bit more when I see him next week. :)
