I have silicone implants and I had a biopsy on my rt breast last year that was determined by cnb to be a fibroadenoma. I had sharp pains from it in my areola/nipple tho so I asked for it to be removed. I had it removed the end of August. It was determined to be a complex fibroadenoma with apocrine metaplasia surrounding and multifocal ADH. My surgeon was shocked. I was 38. I have noticed another lump in my left breast (which my surgeon dismissed as nothing?!) and I had 2.4cm x2 lymph nodes + 1.5cm LN, so 3 total, clumped together. They found the nodes in my screening mammo a few weeks ago. I have continued to have pain in my right breast, sometimes bad pain but noticed it was getting worse in feb. figured I'd wait till my mammo, The beginning of this month. It found no lumps and no nothing except the nodes which they then looked at on US which also only showed the nodes and no lump and no issues with either breast. I have "extremely dense" breasts so it's like looking for a snowman in a snowstorm reading my mammos. My PS said I needed an MRI. Luckily, my ins needed no auth so I go in next Thursday for the mri. Never had an MRI and I have implants. I feel like something is wrong. My ps does not feel that I have capsular contracture as my breasts are soft and US and mammo showed no rupture signs at all. I'm so nervous about what this could be. This all started with the lump last year. I never had cysts, painful breasts, or any issues with my breasts, and pathology 6 years ago when I got implants was totally clear of anything. So nervous I guess. I don't see too many women on here who previously had implants so I feel kind of alone.

"I had sharp pains from it in my areola/nipple tho so I asked for it to be removed."

Was the pain present before the biopsy? Were the nodes thought to be benign in appearance on the US?

Hi Djmammo. I was hoping you would chime in. So middle of 2016 I noticed some pain in my right breast. No biggie. Came and went on occasion. It became worse tho like achey and burning. Then I started getting bee sting like pains through my nipple areola. Lump was right below nipple. I was waking me up at night from it. That’s when I first noticed the lump. Probably around beginning feb 2017. Went to dr end of feb 2017. Presently, Sharp pains around nipple are gone but my breast aches every day now, nipple is super itchy and I get sharp pains under my implant on occasion. Pain in lymph area on right side and that’s not even the swollen side. I feel something in there that isn’t a lump. I have high profile silicone implants so I shouldn’t be feeling any ridges from them but that’s almost what it feels like but US shows only a smooth implant.

They didn’t comment at all on the appearance of the nodes. Only their size and reffered me back to the surgeon who said they’re “not that big”. She’ll address adter the mri she said

also, the itching is new. And the surgeon doesn’t think it’s from the incision. Also, I have two small almost like holes in my areola now. These have popped up within the last month? My surgeon saw them and didn’t really say anything about them at all. Isn’t it weird to have two holes appear in your areola? Almost like puckers but also like holes?
