Trying to Stay Focused
Hi! I've been “lurking" in this community since I was first called back for a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound in early February. Everyone seems so compassionate and supportive and it has really helped me tremendously. So here's my story....
I went in for a mammogram (something that I should have done years ago since my mom is an 18 year Breast cancer survivor). I was called back in because they saw something suspicious.. Everyone told me not to worry since this was my first mammogram... it happens often. I went back for my diagnostic mammogram, the tech initially told me I didn't need an ultrasound since they saw calcifications and that I shouldn't worry as 80% of calcifications are benign. Welllllll...I needed an ultrasound and I just so happen to fall into the 20% category and was told I needed to come back for a biopsy ... I was beyond devastated. I was told that I have some pleomorphic calcifications that are showing a branching pattern in my right breast. I was given a Bi-rad category of 4b. I think the hardest part was waiting... my biopsy was scheduled a month away... the wait was torturous .
I am praying for the best, but preparing for all possibilities. I trust God and know know that in the end, whatever the outcome, I'll be okay.
My biopsy was today and even though I am near the end of this waiting game...this is probably the most difficult wait. The doctor told me that I should know something by Monday or Tuesday, so I'm trying to stay busy and focused as I wait. I really want to thank the ladies in this community because you have helped me a great deal (without even knowing it).
Please pray for me as I am praying for all of you. Thanks for listening to my story.

praying for you Great914! So sorry you are going through this stressful time. This community has provided me with so much comfort and support, it is incredible! Glad you are here!I am also receiving my results on Monday or Tuesday. Not sure if you are a Netflix watcher, but I recommend ordering take out from your favorite restaurant, cuddling up in your PJs and watching movies/shows. I know other members on here also suggest keeping your hands busy (starting a new hobby, cleaning, etc.) cyber hugs!! Please update us when you get results. Hoping they are benign!!!

Happy Spring everyone

I am hopeful I get my MRI results by the end of the day on Friday. I have the MRI at 8:00 am (thurs) and my ultrasound was read by my doctor in one day, so I'm betting she reads the MRI just as fast.

Thinking happy thoughts for all of you waiting!!!
