I had a biopsy a month ago. The pathology came back as a fibroadenoma. Since then it feels like it is getting quite a bit bigger. Tonight I noticed nipple discharge. Is this common? Should I give the breast clinic a call? Thanks!

You should call any time you have concerns.

I have a similar issue... Before my lumpectomy (right side), I was ordered to get MRI's done on both sides just to be safe. Something showed up on the left side and so I had to get an MRI-guided biopsy on the left side which turned out to be benign. But the biopsy itself was so painful as it was done near the chest wall and the lidocaine did not reach. My left breast had been perfectly healthy and fine prior to this biopsy in December but has never been the same since. I suffered a severe quarter-sized skin rash on the surface of at the biopsy site which has since subsided and left me with an equal sized scar. The nipple became inverted, turned very red and sore looking even infected which I did show the BS. That has since calmed down significantly but the nipple remains inverted with a tiny bit of discharge. The breast in general is now constantly sore and at times painful. The BS' explanation is that the biopsy probably disturbed the surrounding tissue and just needs time to heal. It has been 3 months since the biopsy and it has not healed. Worried and unsure who can help me with this. The BS seems to be no help in this dept. Considering if I should go back to the gyno for this. I am currently getting radiation treatment for the right breast so I will try asking the RO later today.
