I finally have nipples!!

I had nipple reconstruction a week ago. My PS used a Biodesign Nipple Reconstruction Cylinder, and cut a skin flap to sew around the cylinder.

The results are amazing, they are obviously still swollen and they will shrink, which is good, because they started out quite large.

Today I was able to remove the plastic shields and take a shower... I almost cried, but instead I just started giggling.

it was so amazing to look down at myself and see breasts with nipples after over a year of seeing things that looked NOTHING like beasts, more like strangely shaped mounds covered in stitches, bruises, etc.

Today was a good survivor day!!! 🌞🌻

    Grammie, I got mine done a few months ago and was surprised at what a difference it makes. Now I just need to get the tattooing and I will be finished, about 3 years after diagnosis. For me, looking “normal” is huge, psychologically, even though initially I did not want reconstruction. Glad you are happy with your results!

    I agree. Some people are totally fine without reconstruction, and I'm happy for them, I however, knew I wanted it asap.

    Did you notice a lot of shrinkage?
