surgery in 3 days

I am having my left breast mastectomy in 3 days...My husband and I are trying to keep ourselves busy, and trying to continue with our regular activities until Friday. There are times when we cey and times when we laugh. We are trying really hard to remain optimistic, and to think of the ppositive...that the tumors were found early, that the surgeon inspires confidence, that there is a community called Breastcancer.org... and I am so comforted and consider myself truly blessed that my family is so supportive. thank you to all of you for your advice, comments and support!

LeMo, sorry you’re here but happy you found us! Staying busy was huge for me, I binge watched waaay too much tv to escape all my thoughts. Plenty of time for that after surgery too I had double mastectomy done last month and found great support in a group dedicated to those also in surgery that month. I think I’ve seen there’s a March group too — so nice for comparing recovery experiences when you have the “I wonder how common....?” I also felt great peace knowing that as crazy as getting a mastectomy sounds, that there’s other people doing the same thing on the same day, so gave some normalcy to it.
