Information overload!!!

I want to first say how wonderful this site and all the wonderful people on it are. I have been able to gain so much more "practical" information and blessings from the posts and threads that I have read.

I had my mammogram on 2/19/18. I was asked to go for a 3D mammogram and had that done on 2/26/18. I was then asked to have a stereotactic guided biopsy. This was done on 3/1/18. Results came back as DCIS with microinvasion. Intermediate grade, solid and cribriform type with central necrosis, extension into lobules and associated calcificaitons with focal microinvasive carcinoma. (That's a lot of big words). I am ER+/PR+ (85% both). I have met with my BS and my MO. I have an appt. on Wed with my RO. Surgery is to be the week of the 3/26/18 (will have exact date tomorrow.)

I have a medical background, so most is easy for me to take. I am, however, perplexed by the mixture of cell types and such. Thanks for any information or thoughts you can provide.

Living by the saying "and this to shall pass"!!!

Have you jumped over to the DCIS board yet? I think you'll find plenty of information and support there.

Great, Bauer4. Remember to be fierce in your information gathering, and in your decision about treatment. I think being fierce is different from being brave, and I could wrap my mind and emotions about being fierce in the face of a life-threatening dx like little c that scared me so much. Being fierce helped me; I hope it does you, too.

    Hugs
