'possible epidural extension of metastatic disease'

Hi everyone,

I just got my scan results today; liver mets stable, sternum met healing, but now this ... 'possible new soft tissue component/epidural extension of metastatic disease at the T 12 level" with the recommendations to have an MRI done to evaluate further. Has anyone heard of soft tissue/bone mets/ epidural extension!? Freaking out a bit as I've never heard of this. I'll only be able to reach my oncologist on Monday to find out more. He did say that he will consult with the radiation oncologist as to whether an MRI is indicated and then we could treat with radiation. No immediate plans to take me off Ibrance/Letrozole (in fact he gave me a script for a further 8 months) but I'm not sure I find this very consoling as this stage.
