@Sweet Pea May every thing go well with your surgery and recovery. I cannot Express enough how thankful I was for my PS who always sends the fragments in for pathology when doing a lift and reduction. I still think about what we’re the odds of my cancer cells showing up in that pathology dish when no one knew to look for them, I had just had a clean 3 D mammo 3 months before

    Thanks, PNWBCHgirl!

I'm almost 4 weeks out of surgery and am feeling pretty good. The lift side is definitely the more painful side -- there was more "work" done there, as the PS is quick to point out. Tissue out, implant in, plus lift...whereas the other (recon) side the pocket was already made by the expander.

Now, Alice, I have to say that the lift side looks fab. I'm not as sure about the recon side, because it seems a bit amorphous without a nipple to anchor your eyes when you look at it, but I think I'll do nipple recon and tattoo after summer. I think, also, that the recon side looks better than it did right out of surgery, which I've heard can happen but find to be kind of incredible.

That's great! I am still like, I can't believe this is right for me. For some reason I am stuck on DIEP, still looking into it
