tamoxifen and High Blood pressure

Does anyone had this problem sonce starting Tamoxifen? I am also on Zoladex so this might have something to do with it too. My blood pressure was normal before starting this medicartion

I’m following this thread as I’ve just started Tamoxifen and will be starting Zolodex soon. My blood pressure has always been on the low side. I would hate for it to go up. I’m sorry this has happened to you.

I hope others chime in with the info you are after.

Yes, mine has been higher in general. I am keeping an eye on it. Could be just having cancer makes it go up, but my numbers were normal during diagnosis and surgery. So maybe stress but maybe not. It wasn't until a month or two into tamoxifen that it started rising. Please note I don't have any other risk factors for hypertension or cardiac problems.

Yes - Tamixifen caused my blood pressure to go up. I am now on medication for it. My MO said that it occurs in about 11% of patients who take it. Lucky us .

Yea, lucky us. Changes in blood pressure is not listed as one of rhe side effects of Tamoxifen but it is for Zoladex. Heading to the cardiologist on Monday, they are going to do a 24 hour blood pressure test to see if I need medication.
