3D mammogram, sore and ultrasound.. worried.

Last yr in February I had my annual mammogram. Everything looked fine. About two months after that, I developed I tiny lump that would soon become a tiny non healing sore. During my exam my dr felt concerned about this site and the skin itching as well as swollen nipple. So I had a 3D mammogram this morning. The tech returned and said the radiologist wanted a magnified view of the spot of interest and then she returned and said he wants an ultrasound. So I waiting for the Dr to put that in. And now I await results. The ultrasound tech said there is a dark thick area near the area of concern but didn't say much else. Worried. .

    Of course you are worried and I am very sorry. Thankfully you had the 3D mammogram and will have the ultrasound.

    The waiting is grueling, but you are doing the right thing!
