I came across some exciting new information on one of my FaceBook Groups, and thought I'd share.

This past Sunday, a NY woman was the first person in the US to receive a robotic mastectomy with immediate, direct to implant, over the muscle, reconstruction. The surgeon's name is Dr. Neil Tanna, and the woman who had the procedure is Elodie Trouche. He used a DaVinci robot to preform the surgery through a 3cm incision under her arm. Her results are fantastic so far. It is amazing!

This procedure has been used in Italy and France for over 3 years. I tried to post links of the interviews, but was unable to for some reason. If you type in the names of the patient and surgeon into any search engine, you will find the interviews.
