Concerned and waiting for biopsy results possible IBC

Hi,

I'm sitting here very worried and hoping I can get some reassurance. In October I noticed a red dot that looked like a bug on my right breast. I thought it was just a rash or bug bite and didn't think anything of it. I had also just stopped breastfeeding in September so I thought it may have something to do with my hormones. Fast forward to December and a second red dot that looked like a bug bite occurred on the same right breast. At this point I made an apt with my OBGYN she reassured me it was not cancer and there weren't any lumps in breasts, but she referred me to a Dermatologist. It took me awhile to get an apt with a good dermatologist in my area. In the meantime another red dot appeared on my left breast. I had a biopsy done on one of the red dots on my right breast on Monday of this week, the one that appeared back in October. I'm very concerned and can't stop thinking about the worst case scenario. I have not had any redness, swelling or warm feelings in my breasts, my nipples havent changed and I havent had any "orange peel" type skin. It really is just those 3 red dots that everyone says "look like bug bites". Just this week when I was putting on deodorant it hurt under my armpit. However, I'm wondering if it's in my head now. I'm anxiously awaiting the results and I'm struggling to not go to the worse case scenario. I would just love any advice anyone has that may have been in my situation. I'm a very worried mommy of two baby boys.

    Once symptoms become evident, symptoms of IBC progress very rapidly over a period of days.

    Let us know what the biopsy results show.

    The waiting is the worst part. There are many changes that occur after the birth of a child, and nursing, so indeed it may be hormones.

    We are glad you are getting it looked at by a dermatologist, and hope that you can enjoy your days with your baby, and try to take your mind off of it until you get the opportunity to get it examined.
