Hi everyone 😊 I'm new here and have been reading some threads. Nice to know others are also in limbo waiting for a diagnosis. Breast cancer runs in my family: maternal grandmother (double mastectomy at 40) and my mother (partial removal of one breast).

I'm 40 years old and just last week I noticed a rather large mass in my left breast. It starts at the nipple and goes up about 3-4 inches, oddly shaped. In fact, most of my breast tissue on the left is knotty and feels inflamed; from my collar bone to my sternum and into my armpit. I went and saw my doctor last Friday who immediately put in for a mammogram/ultrasound/biopsy. By Monday my nipple on that side was starting to "cave-in", like it's being sucked inward. That concerned me even more!! But not as much as this morning when my nipple started bleeding. I went to the ER and thankfully they called and moved my mammogram appointment to tomorrow.
