Options

Last week I ask my boss about being able to return to work on light duty after my surgery. I also asked her about doing learning time after surgery, so I could use less sick leave. I am confused about FMLA, so I asked her about that as well. My boss said that we would set up an appointment with hr to answer these questions. Next thing I know, she went into hr by herself! Later in the day she pulls a chair up to my desk and starts discussing my surgery and upcoming leave in the public work space!! I wish I would have called her on it. At one point she even said that she shouldn't have been talking so loud!!

I am wondering if I should take this to the department head (who will likely side with my boss), or just let it go.
