Has anyone experienced a growth in the size of the tumor in a short time ?

I feel like it has increased in size quite a bit from 2 weeks ago, there is a warm feeling and it looks like there is also a change in skin color.

When I saw the MO last Tuesday to get set up for chemo, he did not even do an exam.

I did have port placement and lymph node biopsy 10 days ago...could that have anything to do with it (swelling maybe )?

I am to start chemo this Tuesday, but worried a bit.

I am in the same boat! I’m actually quite frightened right now. Between my ultrasound/mammogram, biopsy and meeting with a specialist it has only been 2 weeks. My lymph nodes affected have increasingly gotten bigger and I noticed another lymph node swelling and woke Up this morning and it’s gotten so much bigger! I would appreciate any help with this as well as im petrified this is much more aggressive than anyone thinks. I mean in the process of getting the rest of my testing done and not even due to see the doctor for 2 1/2 weeks

Hi dsueb..sorry to hear you are having similar issues.

I have no lymph node problems, as the biopsy was negative ( 0/4 ) but sure did notice an increase in the size of the lump - and it is not only in my head.

I start chemo tomorrow and of course will bring it to my MOs attention.

I will let you know what he says.

Do you have a Nurse Navigator ? Maybe give her a call ? Otherwise call Oncologist and ask about your concern..maybe they can move your appointment forward.

    Hang in there

I did ask my MO about the increase in size today.

He stated it has grown by 1/2 cm since 2 weeks ago, which was entirely possible due to the HER2 + status.

He also did say that we should see shrinkage within 2-3 weeks from today's chemo treatment.

I would still suggest you contact your Oncologist or Nurse Navigator and discuss your case with them instead of waiting for those 2 weeks.

Good luck and let me know what happens
