Positive BRCA1 and BRIP1 mutations

I should've been halfway through with my chemo this week, but when I saw my doctor I found out that I'm positive for BRCA1 (pathogenic) and BRIP1 (of unknown significance) gene mutations. Now my sisters and my 2 daughters will have to be tested. I've just finished 4 dose-dense AC and was supposed to start 4 dose-dense Taxol, but now I'm going to have 12 weekly Taxol and carboplatin (8 Taxol only/4 Taxol/carboplatin). She's also going to look at some other things she can give me in order to make sure we can get rid of this completely and lessen the chance of recurrence elsewhere. I'm also going to have my ovaries and tubes removed, most likely just go ahead with a hysterectomy. I'm frustrated. I really, really did not expect this test to come back positive. I guess it must makes me want to fight harder, so I'll do that. Are there any long-term survivors our there who have had this mutation (at least the BRCA1)? I checked that board, but most of the information was for people with the mutation but not necessarily breast cancer patients.

On a positive note: The tumor is shrinking considerably with the AC!
