Question about the imaging CD

Hello to you all, I am new to this forum and have a question about the imaging CD.

I picked up the CD from the Hospital today and the receptionist said the report would be included with images. I picked up 2 different sets of CD's one was abdominal that had the written report included with images that was done last year. However the CD for breast U/S & mammogram did not have any report included with images. Is this typical? My family Dr does not have results yet and the tests were done almost 2 weeks ago. Would CD be ready for pick up if a report hasn't been written yet? I am very new to keeping track of medical records & obviously very anxious. I am located in Ontario and images were done at Ajax Hospital. If anyone has similar experience or different please share. Thank you

It is possible that the CD (images) were ready without the written report. I usually have to contact medical records for the report, and a different office to get a copy of the CD. Sometimes the CD has the written report included with it but many times it isn't. If your doctor doesn't have the written report yet, that's probably why it wasn't included. You might want to contact your doctor's office to ask them to contact you when the written report is received. I know all about being anxious to get my hands on medical reports. Hope you get the results/written report soon.
