Positive Margins! Chemo before vs after re-excision

Lumpectomy done early February: 4.2 cm Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Margins are Positive! Didn't get it all.

Grade 2. ER +, PR +. Still awaiting HER 2 testing. Still awaiting CT scan results. Dr also didn't bother to grab a lymph node.

We are told Chemotherapy will be necessary, but it seems there is some controversy about doing Chemo before the re-excision vs doing chemo after the re-excision.

What should come next?

Well if you do chemo before you can get an idea if the cancer is responsive to the drugs.
