About a year ago I had a biopsy on left breast calcifications, not cancerous. Doc wanted to watch the other breast. Since the last biopsy, i was diagnosed with colon cancer, stage 2. All is well now. I had my follow up mammogram yesterday (6months late). The doc said the calcifications cluster is bigger now so he wants to do a biopsy. I know only 20% prove to be pre cancerous but since the colon cancer, i have 20% chance of getting more cancer. Anyone have something similar? Are my chances of cancer higher due to the evidence of change

I think they are exercising an abundance of caution and that is a good thing. Unfortunately, in the setting of cancer, one has to worry about more cancer. It's good your medical providers are staying on top of things. You have had good results in the past and hoping you will again.

Gklein, I had ovarian cancer and less than six months later started the bad mammogram/biopsy routine. I just had an increased breast cancer risk condition, but they were really concerned because both my dad's mom & sister had colon cancer and my dad grew big polyps really fast. I've had extended genetic testing and no problems found. I did have a couple of small polyps on colonoscopy that year. I understand your anxiety, but I am fine so far and I hope you are too. That "what NOW...!???" really sucks when you just aren't sure you can handle much more
