Breast lump age 25

ive had a breast lump for about 4 yrs. I first noticed it after my second baby when i was breastfeeding her. I didnt think anything of it because i was breastfeeding and was young. Ive had another baby after that but i didnt notice any change in it though. I never mentioned it to anyone really. But the other day i did. When i went for my yearly pap. She sent me for a ultrasound because im young. It came back that my lump was ill defined and category 4. I dont know if its 4a or 4b or 4c. They just said 4. And i dont even know what shape or if it had a echo. I didnt get to see them doing so i dont know what it looks like either. But now i have to go to a specialist and get a biopsy. Im terrified. I have three kids and i dont know what to do. I dont think its grown much or any at all. But it seems to hurt alot now and its been hurting up into my armpit to. Im scared i let it go so long that its spread.

Make sure they know its been there for 4 years when you go to your next appointment.

Not necessarily. A biopsy is the definitive way to know for sure. Keep us posted. Try to distract yourself in the meantime because waiting is so HARD!

In general, it has been routine practice that, if a mass has been present for 2 years without change, we assume it’s benign and leave it alone.
