Back pain

I finished up my rads on Jan 24th. The week before I rotated my mattress (new mattress, first time rotating) and noticed a little bit of back pain, figured I had to break in the new corner. A week after rads I ended up with the flu, my whole body hurt terribly. It's been a couple weeks and I am feeling better, still coughing, I'm sure my body is taking longer to heal due to chemo and rads. Question is, have any of you had back pain after rads? I don't know how concerned I should be about it. It's not constant. I know the rads do internal damage cause my ribs around the radiated area are sore like a bruise. Any input would be appreciated, my mind always jumps to cancer. I had a clean bone scan at diagnosis, good response to chemo, taking tamoxifen so I feel like the chances of bone mets are slim.

Hi there. I'm not a doctor of course but agree the odds of recurrence are very, very low. Have you kept up with your stretching exercises? My RO said I was to keep doing them three times a day for at least six months after RADS were completed. See if that helps, and if not, I'd ask for a follow-up with your RO. Best wishes that it is temporary.
