Arrrgh. Taking Tykerb wrong.

Just a vent. I'm on my second cycle of Tykerb and Xeloda and just discovered I've been taking the Tykerb wrong. I thought you were supposed to take it within an hour of eating, i.e., with food, but it turns out you're supposed to take it at least an hour after or before eating, i.e., on an empty stomach. Really frustrating, and no one to blame but myself.

    Please give yourself a break. You've discovered this in pretty short order. Now stop beating yourself up!

    Thanks, Tina. Sometimes I get discouraged because I don't feel as competent as I used to. Really, it's just that my life is much more complicated than it used to be. On the positive side there's a small study that suggests Tykerb is more effective when taken with food, so I'm not going to worry about it. I appreciate the encouragement!
