    Hi Joyefull,

I have a weird cough too - not all the time but on occasions and I think i have radiation damage maybe. I get wheezy and can't stop coughing until I take my inhaler

You definitely should make an appointment for evaluation.

I would have to get into my records to see what kinds of chemo and radiation I had, but this was in 2006. I had a lumpectomy and then the chemo and radiation. I do remember I started coughing soon after all of this. Today, it's to the point of I want an x-ray done because I'm tired of coughing all the time. Well, I was recently told I might have COPD and I hardly ever smoked (maybe 5 years in my life), and I'm over 65 now. Please don't wait as long as I did to get someone to diagnose you. I had even seen a pulmonologist and he simply said I had some markings on my lungs but not to worry. So, today, I'm not sure what's happening. You almost have to be pro-active with your health and push them until you get some answers. Best of everything.

I am 4 years in remission and have been coughing over a year. My lungs tighten up and I can hardly breath. I am on my 3rd respiratory infection and finally went to a doctor. He believes I have asthma, as does my daughter the nurse. I have never had breathing problems before. I live in northern California and evacuated due to fire. An EMT gave me a rescue inhaler because she noticed I couldn't breath. I thought this would go away but apparently not. Could this be from radiation?
