I went to the ER for stabbing chest pains tonight. My D-Dimer was elevated for a possible blood clot. They did a chest Cat scan with contrast to rule it out. Well, no clot but the doc throws in as he's walking out "you need to schedule an ultrasound and mammogram. There's an 11mm nodule on your right breast." Are you freaking kidding me? I asked the nurse on discharge for the radiology report and it reads "11mm noncalcified nodule in inferior medial right breast warranting further evaluation via dedicated breast ultrasound and mammogram." So I'm freaking out! I had a stage 1b pancreatic tumor that's been in remission for 6 years. Now this?

Hi Medic! Welcome to the BCO community. We are sorry that these breast changes have brought you here but we are glad that you reached out. We hope that this time it turns out to be nothing serious, and you can move past this.

Please let us know how it goes with US and mammo!
