Does this sound like breast cancer? I'm getting a biopsy on supraclavical node soon. I have had 2 breast augmentations so traditional mammograms are not an option. Dr is ordering an MRI of breasts.

1cm (10mm) is the size of a normal lymph node.

Djmammo thanks always for the info.

So a question then; my SNB was clear in the OR but then pathology revealed 8mm micromets. Does that mean the node was nearly full of cancer if normal size is 10mm

    I am guessing it wasn't 8.0 mm. Maybe 0.8 mm ?

Well, I have no idea where I got 8mm from. For some reason I remember my RO, when he was giving me the reasons I had to have rads, saying about the micromets, "8mm isn't exactly small."
But I just reread my surgical pathology report now and there is no size of the micromets listed. There were actually six nodes taken, three sentinel, one positive for micromets. My surgical staging was T1b (m) N1mic. That's not what I remember reading either, which is why my profile is node negative.
Well, it's water under the bridge at this point, anyway. Que sera sera!
