Latest test results
Had my latest CT and bone scan on Friday. I received an email this morning that my test results were available in my patient portal. I've debated looking but have not mustered the courage to look..last time I looked and thought it looked bad and my MO was thrilled and thought they were awesome. Has anyone not looked on purpose? My appointment with him isn't for 2 more weeks. I'm not anxious about it and it really doesn't bother me that they are there.. it's almost like I just don't want to know. Self preservation? Maybe so.
Anyone relate?

I could never NOT look. Guess I was in Girl Scouts too long.

Ha! Me too Tina, I have to rip off the bandaid.

Two weeks? I could never wait that long. I'd be in there 10 minutes after I got the e-mail with new results. More power to you if you can wait!
I AM surprised that they'll put the results on the portal before you see your MO. Ours are embargoed for a week. (So are the tumor markers which annoys me). I always try to schedule the scans for 1-2 days before I'm supposed to see the doc.
If it doesn't bother you, run with it. Sure it's probably a form of denial but you don't know what denial. [I'm a queen of denial. Cancer? Nah.]

I couldn't stop myself from checking. Also, I like to read it because there are inevitably questions I have for my MO. He wouldn't automatically go into detail about all things that are important to me.

Thanks for the replies, ladies. It's been 3 days now and no call or email from my MO. My appointment with him is on the 20th.. guess I'll find out the results then. After much contemplation, I decided I'm quite happy in denial land and will enjoy the next 2 weeks here.

Well, I've avoided my results as long as I can. My appointment is in the morning. The nerves have set in. I'm hoping I get some rest. Any prayers, good wishes or positive vibes greatly appreciated. I'm still new at this stage iv mess and am very nervous about getting my latest test results.

Hope you are pleasantly surprised tomorrow by some good results after your long wait. I float along on DeNial too. Sending you peaceful thoughts to help you sleep and good wishes for tomorrow.
