Just returned from my annual diagnostic mammogram...to be told by the radiology tech that I was simply having a screening mammogram, despite the fact I had an appointment for a diagnostic mammogram.

She said the new standard of care given the new 3D technology is to only have screening on the other breast, no need for the extra precautions!

I am a UMX, am on Arimidex for protect/prevent anything else from happening...so I don't consider my remaining breast "non-affected" by the DCIS found in the L that caused the MX...very upsetting to have the plan switched when you are already naked!

Has anyone else been told there is a new protocal? TT
