Armpit lump, pain, discoloration & skin pucker

Hi there.

Not really sure why I’m posting, I know only my results will be a definitive answer but I think I just need to get it straight in my head. About 2 years ago I went to a GP with an itchy breast (left). She chuckled, had a look at the skin and said I had eczema. I was given cream & sent home (feeling a bit daft). Not long after that I started having huge problems with my periods which ultimately led to a hysterectomy. During that time (probably about 18 months ago) I started to feel ‘bruised’ on my armpit (just near the breast). I did mention it to my GP but there was so much going on with my uterus that it was kind of shelved.

Anyway, I’m 4 months post hysterectomy & the pain is now constant. The skin is slightly discolored & puckered just where the pain is. I went to my GP with it 5 weeks ago & he couldn’t feel anything, he asked me to try some cream & go back if nothing had changed. Went back last week & he immediately felt a lump. He says it’s not a cyst, it is deep, hard & non-moving. I’m scheduled in a week for appt with a breast surgeon.

I guess what I’m asking is if anyone else had these syptoms? I have shooting pains in my left breast where the itching is & sometimes a dragging sensation too. Bodies can be a huge pain sometimes!!

Glad you are meeting with a breast surgeon, who will probably order some diagnostic testing.
