received my report on the ultrasound I had on axillary area.

It states:

Scanning through the soft tissue of the left axillary demonstrate multiple hypoechoic nodules with echogenic vascular hilum with the largest measuring 2.9 x 1.3 x 1.4cm. No soft tissue edema is demonstrated.

anyone have any ideas what all that means?

Please explain. Thank you. I go for my diagnostic mammogram and breast/clavicle ultrasound on Monday. Still swollen hasn't gone down its been a week.

What they are describing are lymph nodes in your left axilla. 2.9 cm is a little large. Is that the entire report? Impression? Recommendation? Did they mention the thickness of the cortex of the lymph node? Did they scan under the other arm?

They only checked that one area, this ultrasound was done at a small hospital where my PCP's clinic is. I have a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound scheduled for Monday. I'm still swollen on my left side all the way up to my collar bone. My doctor ruled out infection and did fasting blood work my white and red blood cell count was fine. He also ran a CPR,high sensitivity test which mine is high at 15.03, and a sedimentation rate(ESR) that shows mines high at 57. I know these are inflammation tests. I do take baby aspirin daily and antionflammatories often. Not sure what these tests have to do with determining why I'm so swollenand sore.. Oreven what they have to do with breast cancer. Anyone have any ideas? Please let me knows.

    Thanks

They have to do with the fact that inflammation can makeyou swollen and sore, which may have nothing whatsoever to do with cancer.

When you have your next US, ask them to look under both arms, bilateral enlarged nodes may signal a systemic problem, not local. Its good the white count is normal in the face of enlarged nodes. Keep us in the loop.

the lymphnodes in the other side don't seem swollen but who knows. I'm more worried about the swelling around the clavicle.

That's another area where one can feel enlarged nodes however it would be unusual for there to be abnormal nodes related to the breast in that location without an obvious mass in the breast. Let us know what the mammo and breast US show.

vwhat are the odds of ibc n both breasts? My left is the only one that is swollen but now I have a rash that look so Ike your skin does when you have a hickey but in a line like it's coming from arm pit.

    Anyone have experience with this?

Rare enough that someone would want to write a scientific paper about you.

Here is a study from 2016. A literature search at that time turned up only one case ever reported and the breasts were not involved at the same time, but the second developed after the first was already treated (possibly metastatic?) :

that's good to know, I'm sure it's probably from sleeping strange. That breast doesn't have any other issues and the mark is different than the left one. The left one is the swollen all the way to. collar bone, has all different spots -purple bruise like spots, than rash that looks like the areola is expanding or somethings and redness elsewhere that's comes and goes. It is not really hot but sometimes. I do have pain at times, some really sharp shooting across. No pain in the right one with the new spot so sure it s nothing

mammogram didn't show anything so the breast center would not do ultrasound. She said the flesh above the breast toward the collar bone is not what they considered breast so they don't check it. My PCP is surprised that they wouldn't checkand has ordered a breast MRI. So more waiting. I had one before but can't remember if it covers the area above the breast to the collar bone. Anyone know?

Boyd748 - Did you finally get an MRI? Did your symptoms continue or resolve? I have symptoms somewhat similar to yours, hence asking.

No breast place says the swelling up high is not breast. My doctor had an CT done. Which shows a 1.7 x 1.6 cm soft tissue lesion on chest wall with calcifications. It's at the anterior top of the soft tissue of the left breast.

Now they are sending me to another breast center so hopefully can get an ultrasound and further testing. Just found out yesterday even though had test a week ago. Doctors office just didn't get around to reviewing results.

Any thoughts? Since it was just a cat scan I didn't receive birads or any kind of information about the chances of it being cancer. Any idea?

    Thanks
