So here I am 8 months out from my mastectomy, stage 1 dcis, no lympnodes, er+/her2-, no chemo (Had an onco score of 20, grey area, opted on no chemo), no radiation, nothing to radiate, taking arimadex. Surgeon said only 5 percent chance of getting cancer in breast that was not removed, Dr later cancer free by oncologist. And now have a lump in my good breast. Should have went with my instincts, scheduled for mammo and ultrasound on Thursday. Totally freaked out and in disbelieve.

Oh goodness - I can see why you're freaked out! Do you have an appointment coming up? I hope it turns out to be nothing.

Standad practice at my breast clinic is to do a breast MRI before you meet with the surgeon. That's how they found the DCIS in my "good" breast. It never showed up in my mammogram. So if you have something going on it's not necessarily something new, it could just be something they missed. In my case it didn't change my treatment plan (well, I opted for BMX instead of lumpectomy) - Oncotype 18, no radiation, no chemo, Femara for my AI.

Hope it's nothing and they put you through all this worry for nothing.
