hi ladies, first of al English is my second language so please excuse all the mistakes you will find in my post. So about 4 or 5 days ago I discovered what looks like a small red bug bite or pimple on the bottom part of my left breast near my aereola. It doesn’t itch, or hurt etc. I’m 31 years old had a baby 15 month ago but im not breastfeeding. When I went to google everything points out to IBC I’m freaking out crying and holding my baby so tight. Has this Ever happend to anyone in here? Have you ever had a small red mark that turned out to be nothing. I realize this may stupid but not to me, never had this on my breast before. Thank you

No, it's not a stupid question. If you Google "breast", everything comes up cancer. Your age is in your favor--breast cancer is rare under age 35. Our breasts often have weird lumps, bumps, and rashes for benign reasons. It is MUCH more likely that this is NOT cancerous.

IBC is a very rare cancer, usually seen age 60 and up. It advances rapidly in a matter of days and hours. What you describe sounds like a skin issue. Have your doctor take a look.

Scared, a single spot is usually nothing to worry about. Yes, I have had red spots like you describe when I had my original breasts. I have one right now on one breast. But that breast is made of belly skin from my DIEP flap reconstruction. Think about it—if you had a red spot on any other part of your body you would likely not get so worried.

IBC usually has other symptoms, such as "orange peel" skin or a more profuse rash. The smart rule is to wait two weeks, and if it's still there or has gotten worse (increases in size or other spots appear), see your doctor.
