Waiting for my appointment Diagnostic Mammogram and Ultrasound
Waiting… waiting… waiting…
So about a month ago I found a lump in my right breast on the armpit side, it's semi-hard, roundish, doesn't hurt unless I keep touching it throughout the day… Went through a menstrual cycle to see if it would go away and it didn't… Had the hubby touch the area… He didn't like what he felt… Waited another week and reached out to a friend who is a breast cancer survivor… And she immediately told me to call my doctor.
This past Monday I went to the doctor (OB/GYN) figuring it was just a cyst or fibrocystic again… As I did get those a lot in my 20's… But nope… She said she couldn't feel fluid, instead it was hard like tissue. So she order me a ultrasound at a local radiologist. Radiologist office called and from my report from the doctor's office they are recommending a Diagnostic Mammogram and Ultrasound… That appointment is next Tuesday at 1:45 pm, did an afternoon appointment in case we need to do any further testing.
So of course, I've been on this website and community forum," Google" breast cancer and reading everybody's stories… Comparing notes… Looking at images… I know not a good thing to do.
I'm 35 years old and don't have a family history, as I'm adopted.
I did do Fertility Treatments, which have said don't increase your chances of BC, but it's in the back of my mind…
So here I am waiting… Wishing the day to go by faster. Good thing is my husband and I have a concert to go to this weekend so that will take this off my mind for a little while. But I'll still have a Monday and Tuesday morning to get through… Sorry for the rambling… Just need to talk / vent…

Odds are still great that it's nothing so assume it's nothing.
And if it is something, it's small, you saw it early & that's stuff that's treatable. Hang in there, don't google.
Honestly, I'd advise you stay off these boards until you get a pathology report. Each day has enough trouble of its own - don't borrow trouble from next week.

I may have same thing, right breast/armpit region, but my lump is very deep, they say examine with light medium and deep pressure, mine is palpable by deep pressure..is yours superficial? what did the ultrasound report say?

Next Tuesday is the Ultrasound and Mammogram... So I won't have answer to your question until then...

Sorry, I missed reading the doc office report as ultrasound report..good luck, most likely benign at your age, but you are doing the right things! Many many women are taking fertility treatments, people are having kids later in life than ever, I myself had mine at 37 and 39.5..I feel you should not feel axious about this factor as contributor as studies show no significant link...
