Hair loss with Tamoxifen

I have been on Tamoxifen for 3 years. The first 2 years were a breeze. Had very few side effects and they were relatively minor. However about 12 months ago I noticed my hair was falling out. I was horrified. I did have a stressful event a few months before I noticed the hair loss however I suspect that Tamoxifen was the culprit here.

At first I thought it unlikely Tamoxifen would be the cause as I had been taking it for nearly 2 years without any hair loss however after doing some online research I discovered that this "late-onset" hair loss is not uncommon.

I plan to take Tamoxifen for another 2 years, 5 years in total. The rate of loss appears to have slowed down a bit however I am worried that the loss may continue for the next 2 years by which time I will have little hair left. Also worried it may not regrow after I stop taking Tamoxifen.

I'm wondering if there anyone out there who suffered hair loss whilst taking tamoxifen and can tell me whether the loss slows down/stops whilst taking the drug and whether the hair grows back when you cease taking it.
