edited January 2018 in Not Diagnosed But Worried

Lumpectomy 2 weeks ago tomorrow; still having pain/pressure. My arm/hand feels weak/numb too. Can anyone tell me if they've had similar issues. My surgeon is out of town so I'd have to travel to see her and I've missed so much work; I'm wondering if I need to call or if these things are normal and will eventually subside. My lumpectomy was done around the 9 o'clock area (didn't know if that's relevant info).

A million "Thank you's"!!!!!

Worried/concerned.

Still a little sore/bruised. Same symptoms - I'm really grasping for straws here that someone can give me their input.

I would err on the side of caution and call. If it's normal, they will tell you, and if it's not, you'll get the care you need.

    claireinaz -

Thank you for that. That's kind of what I was thinking but sometimes you start doubting yourself and just need a "fresh set of ears/eyes".

    Hugs :)

The swelling/bruising may be placing pressure on a nerve. Also, sometimes surgery can nick or aggravate a nerve and it takes time for it to resolve. If you are still having numbness and muscle weakness then I would definitely call your dr and see what they have to say. let us know what they say and keep in touch.

Thank you both for your responses. I did call my surgeon's office and they said this can take up to a month or so to resolve. They reminded me as well that I returned to work a little sooner than they recommended so this may prolong healing.

I'm so grateful for everyone here on these boards and I want to thank all for your support. I hope everyone is doing well too. God Bless you all.

Deb, I'm glad that your doctor's office was able to relieve some of your concern. I hope you continue to heal nicely.
