Hello ladies! This forum has given me so much great information and encouragement this past week. I'm 36yrs old and found a lump in the lower left quadrant if my left breast about the size of a pea. It kind of feels oblong and doesn't move that I can tell. I am booked next week for a breast specialist and had a mammogram and ultrasound 2 days ago. The radiologist spoke with me and felt the lump. He said that he didn't see anything worrisome (yay!) on my images and he felt what I was feeling. He told me that it was a ligament. He said he was confident because they placed markers on my breast for the mammogram to be sure to get extra images of the area. Also my armpit has swelled in general but that could be from poking and prodding it, I'm guessing. He said my lymph nodes appereas normal. Is this normal for a ligament to have a lump or feel like one? My mind has been eased a little but I'm still concerned and anxious to see the specialist next week. I also have dense breast tissue.
