Enlarged lymph nodes on previous bc side

Hi all! I am a frequent reader and rarely post. However early December I started noticing a fullness in my armpit area. It was after some Christmas shopping so I assumed maybe I aggravated my affected side from carrying too much. But when it didn’t go away, I noticed a few lumps. I called my Breast surgeon but since I had an appointment with my MO yesterday they said wait and see what she thinks. She said she wasn’t super concerned but could palpate two lymph nodes. So she’s ordered right breast mammo and ultrasound and said to schedule when the radiologist is there in case they want to biopsy. I must admit I am freaking a little...my breast is so lumpy since the radiation! I just wish i would have done mastectomy. Now I feel a lump below my collar bone and another one near my sternum. I don’t think I’m going to rest until these are biopsied. Anyone have this happen and it not be a recurrence?

Mastectomy will not necessarily prevent recurrence. I am exhibit A of that. Hoping you get in soon and that the lumps are benign. Call often to request your appointment time. It sucks to have to do that, but the squeaky wheel thing works. Keep us posted
